Bid Better.

BidNav was engineered to help pilots and crew bid effectively and efficiently, ensuring that seniority carries as much weight as it should in a preferential bidding system created schedule.

Designed for optimal use on iPad and other tablet devices, BidNav uses a beautiful, simple, intuitive user experience to enable drag-and-drop of preferences, and it is backed by a translation engine that knows how today’s preferential bidding systems work.

Starting with easy-to-understand options, users create a profile that lays out, in priority order, their preferences for the bid period.

Options include dates and days off, avoid and award specific airports, layover and deadhead preferences, as well as using sets, waives, and bidding reserve to increase the chances of holding the most desired criteria.

In just a few minutes, users can build their prioritized wish list.

Once the profile is complete and the user is happy with their choices, they click the “Create Bidding Plan” button, and the logic and translation engine takes over. The engine turns a simple profile into the often complex and lengthy bid plan required to ensure the preferential bidding system knows exactly how to award and avoid the pilot’s preferences.

Although solution constraints and union and FAA rules must still produce a complete, legal solution, knowing how to tell the solution builder what a user wants is crucial to ensuring the best possible schedule is awarded to each pilot and crew member.

In addition to making bidding simple and straightforward, we also have a validation engine that detects and alerts users to potential conflicts, issues, or problems with the way they have setup their profile. This allows the user to address potential issues that would trip-up the solution builder and inadvertently prevent them getting their best possible schedule.

Our solution works with all major solution building systems and can be easily modified for airline- and union-specific rules and requirements.

We also offer the ability to write bidding plans directly to the solution system via API or other mechanisms, based on availability by each system and airline preferences.

Bidding is important. It should be simple.

That’s what BidNav does.
